Biography:

Harry James Potter, born July 31, 1980, is a central figure in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. Orphaned as an infant, he is raised by his neglectful maternal aunt and uncle, Vernon and Petunia Dursley.

On his eleventh birthday, Harry discovers he is a wizard and is invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There, he is sorted into Gryffindor house and befriends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who become his closest allies.
